Apartamentos El Paseo maintains a firm commitment to sustainability and the Environment

In 2003 we implemented an Environmental Management System in order to achieve the common good, protect the nature and health of people, as well as preserve our particular environment and natural resources, following the EMAS and ISO guidelines.

Since then, we have expressed the shared responsibility of our company with our employees, customers, suppliers and society in general, acquiring a commitment to continuous improvement and prevention of pollution.

Our clients have information on water and energy saving, selection of suppliers, raw materials and waste management.

EMAS III

The EMAS Management System (Eco-Management and Audit Scheme) was approved in 1993 by the European Parliament in order to promote continuous progress in the environmental behavior far beyond what established the law. As part of this commitment Appartements El Paseo works every year on this system and prepares controls and environmental reports. (Significant environmental aspects, environment declaration, etc.)

The ISO 14001 certification admits that Apartamentos El Paseo maintains and improves continuously an Environmental Management System in accordance to the requisites of the norm ISO 14001. For this, Apartamentos El Paseo plans, implants and puts into operation an environmental policy supported and approved by the management and announced to the stuff and to all other interested parties.

In 2005, Apartamentos El Paseo was rewarded by the award Environmental Champion TUI, which awards the best hotels of TUI for its excellence in the ecological and social management. Appartements El Paseo was the only prize-winning apartment complex, since the rest of prizewinners were hotels of major dimensions.
